PURPOSE OF JOB:
This role is responsible for the complete performance spectrum of the Section to meet internal and external contractual requirements to the financial
expectations of the investor.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (SUMMARY):
- Completion of tenders.
- Keep record of all tender movements.
- Follow up on outstanding tenders.
- Daily liaison with Production, Planning, Quality and Financial departments with regard to new enquiries.
- Responsible for a tender library covering all business units.
- Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
- Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles.
- Accurately generate quotes.
- Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items,
- Obtain accurate information relating to shipment date and expected date of delivery.
- Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer
satisfaction.
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
- Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint.
- Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.
- Willingness to work overtime as per operational requirements.
- Assist with market research.
- Attend exhibitions.
- Attend to call outs to resolve conflicts.
- Asses clients to adapt to unique operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma/ Degree in Exports or Higher Certificate in Business Administration & Marketing or IMM Diploma
- 3-4 years’ experience in a cable manufacturing environment
- 3-4 years’ experience in Marketing and/ or Logistics
- 1-2 years Managerial experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in Same Role
- Courses relating to the industry (advantage)
- Must have driver’s license
- Foreign languages (advantage)
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of Power Cable industry (advantage)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Good knowledge of MS Office (incl. Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Good knowledge of SYSPRO
- Good knowledge of Management information Systems, including material and process management
- Knowledge of Operational Budgeting
- Expert knowledge of export administration/ travel and/ or logistical procedures
- Good knowledge of tender writing and submitting
- Expert knowledge of following the ISO standards: 14001:2015, 9001:2015, 45001:2016
- Expert product knowledge
- Good reading and speaking skills in French and/ or Portuguese

- In addition, this position demands a deadline driven, detail oriented, motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal relationship and
communication skills, willing to travel and work flexible and extended working hours.
