COST AND MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (SUMMARY):

  • Update the cost of new products
  • Costing of products for the sales purpose
  • Bill of material reviews
  • Stock adjustment when required
  • Update inventory cost and rates
  • WIP review and evaluations
  • Periodical physical stock count of all inventories must be conducted and compared with book value and quantities variance to be investigated
  • Reconcile stock report to ledger
  • Obsolete stock valuations
  • Review and investigate sales report variances
  • Adjustment of invoices to correct sales price (Escalation)
  • Complete applications for any export rebate that may be due
  • Preparing monthly management reports
  • Prepare, maintain, review and report management accounting monthly control reports
  • Investigate queries within the monthly reports
  • Assist with compilation of annual budget
  • Execute internal audit as per request from Deputy Manager - Costing. All identified opportunities for improvement shall be recorded by the internal auditor on a corrective and preventative action form to ensure action is taken by the responsible person to prevent occurrences
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance
  • 5 year work experience as a Cost and Management Accountant in a Manufacturing Company
  • Microsoft Excel experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in working with SYSPRO
